Quang
Trung Software City (QTSC) will this year focus on improving services
and working environment in line with the green, clean, beautiful and
modern criteria, coming closer to its target of a smart city
QTSC
plans to renovate its landscape in District 12, HCMC, to bring into
life a greener and cleaner working and living environment. Furthermore,
aiming to create an ideal workplace for everyone, QTSC will upgrade its
internal road system and attract more investment in entertainment and
catering services. It will also improve the quality of conveniences at
offices for lease.
A green environment
Lam
Nguyen Hai Long, deputy director of QTSC, says the park will gain a
facelift in 2015. The scenery will be renovated, services diversified,
and working and living quality considerably improved. “All aims to
better serve customers and attract more potential customers,” says Long.
To
mark its 14th anniversary, QTSC has launched “Together for a Green
QTSC,” a campaign that features a wide range of programs such as “Green
QTSC in My Eyes” photo contest and “QTSC – Incubator of the Green.” The
“Loving Rice Seed” charity program and a flower arrangement contest are
some other highlights.
The
year of 2015 is the first year QTSC has launched the “QTSC – Incubator
of the Green,” which calls for the participation of all employees and
students working and studying here. On March 18, participants tidied up
the environment around buildings and land lots in QTSC.
Meanwhile,
the 14 best photos of the “Green QTSC in My Eyes” photo contest were
displayed at the 14th anniversary ceremony of QTSC on March 20. The
contest was held to call for everyone to join hands to make QTSC greener
and cleaner.
As
part of the activities to mark the QTSC’s birthday anniversary, the
“Loving Rice Seed” charity program was held for the first time specially
designed for QTSC staff and its partners. Lasting from February 5 to
March 24 this year, the program expects to hand two tons of rice to old
and disabled people at Thanh Loc Center for the Elderly and the Disabled
in Thanh Xuan Ward, District 12, HCMC, which is the shelter of 310 old
and disabled people.
Investment attraction
Building
a green environment QTSC expects to both help enterprises develop and
attract more investment. As per the 2015 agenda, QTSC will organize the
Vietnam IT Sourcing Conference, an event which promotes outsourcing
ability of local enterprises and attracts foreign investment. The
conference will also be an opportunity for outsourcing companies in QTSC
to seek collaboration with local and foreign partners. Along the line
will be cooperation with domestic and foreign associations,
professionalization of corporate development research and analyses,
hosting of regular CEO Club meetings, and coordination with relevant
agencies in tackling enterprises’ problems.
QTSC
seeks to attract at least one of the world’s leading information
technology firms in PwC’s list of Global Top 100 ICT Companies. QTSC
will also hold promotion programs in other ASEAN countries. Next on the
agenda are efforts to raise the number of its tenants to 150 IT
companies.
All
the efforts to build a green, clean, beautiful and modern environment
in QTSC not only help it become an attractive destination but also turn
the software park into a smart city.
