Vice President for Public Sector, Asia at Microsoft visited QTSC

Vice President, Public Sector (Asia) at Microsoft Stefan Sjostrom had a meeting at Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) on Friday.

Through the exchange with CEO of QTSC Lam Nguyen Hai Long, he has desired to cooperate with QTSC in training high quality IT human resources; supporting to develop IT infrastructure and start-ups operating in QTSC. Also, Long introduced applications and solutions have been implementing in QTSC such as smart home, GIS system, smart power grid system, bicycle management system, and SmartAgri in agriculture. Impressed by QTSC’s great results, Stefan Sjostrom proposed the cooperation and transfer applications between Microsoft and QTSC in building smart city, applying IoT in agriculture, using clean power for data center operation and supporting start-ups. The delegation of World Cities project (EU) to work at QTSC

On 16 June 2017, the delegation of the project on third countries cooperation on urban and regional development (World Cities) of European Union managed by the Directorate General for regional and urban policy (DG REGIO) of the European Commission worked at Quang Trung Software City (QTSC).

According to Mr. Gandara Araya Pablo, Project Manager of World Cities, it is currently organizing working meetings in the EU, Australia, South Korea, South Africa, Indonesia and Vietnam. The program has a collaborative online platform (forum) to facilitate the exchange of information and good practices between EU and non-EU cities. Project cities cooperate based on similarities between their thematic areas, experiences, and goals; communication with all cities in the exchange provides additional opportunities for collaboration and potential for new ideas. World Cities ultimate goal is to strengthen market opportunities and job creation while pursuing the sustainable economic development of the cities involved, thus fostering win-win cooperation. Working at QTSC, they were interested in the applications and solutions for organization of QTSC, as well as smart city project in HCMC, IoT applications for agriculture, power saving, start-up and projects supporting woman in economic development. At the end of the meeting, the delegation visited the Quang Trung Software Business Incubator (QTi) to learn about solutions have been implementing by start-ups operating here. QTSC honored to welcome Chairman of the Cuban National Assembly

On the morning of 16 June 2017, Chairman of the Cuban National Assembly Esteban Lazo Hernandez and his entourage visited and worked at Quang Trung Software City (QTSC).

Along with them were Ms. Caridad Diego Bello, head of the office for Religious Affairs of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party, Chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Relations and President of Cuba-Vietnam Friendship Association, Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Herminio Lopez Diaz and members of the organizing committee of the Communist Party of Cuba. Welcoming the delegation was Mr. Nguyen Van Giau, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly of Vietnam, Mr. Vu Hai Ha, Member of the National Assembly, Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Relations and members of the Southern National Assembly Office, and Mr. Lam Nguyen Hai Long, CEO of QTSC. Long briefly introduced QTSC's achievements over the past 16 years, and forthcoming development strategies for the park. Esteban Lazo Hernandez was very interested in the construction and investment structure of state, the use of state capital and the operational regulations of QTSC. In addition, the delegations were also interested in building IT infrastructure, attracting human resources and so on. Concluding the meeting, QTSC would like to demo the Smart Home solutions and lead them to its Telecom Center, ensuring safe data center for government. Phó Chủ tịch Bộ phận Doanh nghiệp Chính phủ, Khối nhà nước khu vực châu Á của tập đoàn Microsoft thăm và làm việc tại QTSC

Chiều 16/06/2017, ông Stefan Sjostrom, Phó Chủ tịch Bộ phận Doanh nghiệp Chính phủ, Khối nhà nước khu vực châu Á của tập đoàn Microsoft đã có buổi gặp gỡ và làm việc tại Công viên Phần mềm Quang Trung.

Qua buổi trao đổi với ông Lâm Nguyễn Hải Long – Giám đốc QTSC, ông Stefan Sjostrom rất muốn hợp tác với QTSC trong các hoạt động đào tạo nguồn nhân lực công nghệ thông tin có trình độ cao; hỗ trợ phát triển hạ tầng CNTT và hỗ trợ phát triển doanh nghiệp khởi nghiệp tại Công viên phần mềm Quang Trung. Tại buổi gặp gỡ, ông Lâm Nguyễn Hải Long cũng giới thiệu về một số ứng dụng, giải pháp đang được triển khai tại QTSC như ứng dụng smart home, ứng dụng GIS trong quản lý tài sản không gian, lưới điện thông minh, hệ thống quản lý xe đạp, và ứng dụng SmartAgri trong nông nghiệp. Ông Stefan Sjostrom rất ấn tượng với những kết quả QTSC đã đạt được trong thời gian qua và đề xuất Microsoft và QTSC trong sự kết nối, chuyển giao các ứng dụng trong các hoạt động như: xây dựng đô thị thông minh, ứng dụng IoT trong nông nghiệp, sử dụng năng lượng sạch trong vận hành data center và hỗ trợ doanh nghiệp khởi nghiệp. Đoàn công tác của dự án phát triển đô thị của Ủy ban Châu Âu thăm và làm việc tại QTSC

Sáng 16/06/2017, Đoàn công tác của dự án hợp tác với quốc gia thứ 3 trong việc phát triển đô thị (World Cities) của Liên minh Châu Âu do Tổng vụ Chính sách Vùng và đô thị (DG REGIO) của Ủy ban Châu Âu quản lý đã thăm và làm việc tại QTSC.

Theo ông Gandara Araya Pablo – giám đốc dự án World Cities: Dự án World Cities hiện đang tổ chức các cuộc gặp gỡ tại EU, Úc, Hàn Quốc, Nam Phi, Indonesia, và Việt Nam. Chương trình có triển khai một số diễn đàn trực tuyến nhằm hỗ trợ trao đổi thông tin hiệu quả giữa EU và các quốc gia ngoài khối. Các thành phố mà dự án hợp tác đều dựa trên những điểm tương đồng giữa các khu vực liên quan, kinh nghiệm và mục tiêu phát triển của thành phố. Những thông tin trao đổi giữa các thành phố sẽ mang đến những cơ hội cho việc hợp tác và đưa ra những ý tưởng tiềm năng mới. Mục tiêu chủ đạo của dự án World Cities là nhằm tăng cường các cơ hội mở rộng thị trường và tạo công ăn việc làm, tạo điều kiện phát triển kinh tế bền vững của các đô thị thành viên, thúc đẩy hợp tác đôi bên cùng có lợi. Trong buổi làm việc tại QTSC, đoàn công tác rất quan tâm đến việc ứng dụng những sản phẩm, giải pháp trong công tác quản lý, điều hành của Công viên Phần mềm Quang Trung, vấn đề phát triển đô thị thông minh tại thành phố Hồ Chí Minh, ứng dụng IoT trong nông nghiệp, tiết kiệm năng lượng, khởi nghiệp và những dự án hỗ trợ phụ nữ phát triển kinh tế gia đình. Kết thúc buổi gặp gỡ, đoàn công tác đã thăm trung tâm ươm tạo doanh nghiệp phần mềm Quang Trung – QTi và tìm hiểu một số giải pháp mà các doanh nghiệp khởi nghiệp đang triển khai tại đây.
