The eXtreme Programming Day 2016 in QTSC

On 14 May 2016, Agile Vietnam community in association with Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) organized the eXtreme Programming – XP Day 2016 at SaigonTech, QTSC.

XP Day is an international conference on eXtreme Programming and Agile process. With nearly 40 speakers from all over the world, XP Day Vietnam 2016 is a 1-day event in 2 cities (Ho Chi Minh and Ha Noi). In HCMC, the event had attracted the participation of more than 200 programmers with full of exciting activities including keynote speeches, workshops, games, networking….

Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang – representative of the organizers said that most programmers often work alone, for this reason there are some errors occur in the programming process. Pair programming is necessary requirement when two programmers in the same time, work together at a single computer to detect and fix errors effectively. This helps to minimize programming errors as well as maximize teamwork efficiency.

Searching solutions for IT human resources

On 12 May 2016, the representative of enterprises and schools operating in Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) had attended the IT human resources workshop, which was held by World University Service of Canada (WUSC) and Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.

The workshop aimed to share and comment on the skills required for IT human resources as well as communicate WUSC’s researches to promote Vietnam’s IT sector.

Through the meeting, a great many ideas were proposed:

- Increase career awareness and orientation for pupil right from the first classes

- Organize more careers guidance programs for first-year and second-year students

- Improve student’s practice ability and increase practice time at the business

- The lecturers need to work actually at the business in order to know clearly its standard processes, from which having the correct orientation for students.

- Organize the international ICT workshops, seminars for businesses, universities of Canada and Vietnam.

- Found the English Club in the universities to improve students’ communication skills

Quang Ngai province Information and Communications Department visited QTSC

On 13 May 2016, Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) had the honor to welcome leader of Quang Ngai province Information and Communications Department to visit and work at QTSC.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung – Director of the Department said that the meeting’s goal was to exchange deeply building QTSC chain in Quang Ngai. This is a new strategy of the province to develop its own human resources and economy.

In addition, Mr. Hung introduced about the 20th workshop on Vietnam ICT Cooperation - Development will be held in Ly Son Island, Quang Ngai province from 26 - 27/08/2016 with the topic "ICT for Vietnam’s sea - islands". The workshop aims to build association and cooperation among provinces/cities in promoting ICT applications and development in order to support socio-economic development, ensure national defense, security as well as seek solutions for the task of protecting the sovereignty and developing sea - islands economic.

XP Day 2016: Ngày hội lập trình cực độ tại QTSC

Ngày 14/5/2016, cộng đồng Agile Việt Nam và QTSC phối hợp tổ chức ngày hội lập trình cực độ - XP Day 2016 tại trường SaigonTech, Công viên Phần mềm Quang Trung.

Ngày hội lập trình XP Day 2016 được diễn ra song song tại 2 thành phố lớn là TP.HCM và Hà Nội với gần 40 diễn giả đến từ khắp nơi trên thế giới và Việt Nam. Tại TP.HCM, chương trình có tổng cộng 18 bài thuyết trình chuyên đề, thu hút hơn 200 lập trình viên tham gia.

Ông Nguyễn Đăng Quang - đại diện ban tổ chức cho biết: Đa số các lập trình viên thường làm việc một mình nên thường xảy ra một số lỗi trong quá trình lập trình. Việc lập trình thành cặp là yêu cầu cần thiết khi hai lập trình viên trong cùng một thời gian, sử dụng cùng một thiết bị, cùng nhau lập trình và rà soát mã nguồn để phát hiện những lỗi và khắc phục lỗi một cách hiệu quả nhất. Việc này vừa giúp hạn chế tối đa lỗi lập trình cũng như tạo hiệu quả cao khi làm việc nhóm.

Sở Thông tin và Truyền thông Quảng Ngãi thăm và làm việc tại QTSC

Sáng 13/5/2016, lãnh đạo Sở Thông tin & Truyền thông Quảng Ngãi đã có buổi gặp gỡ và làm việc tại Công viên Phần mềm Quang Trung.

Ông Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng – Giám đốc Sở TTTT Quảng Ngãi cho biết mục đích của đoàn đến QTSC nhằm trao đổi kỹ hơn về việc hình thành chuỗi Công viên Phần mềm Quang Trung tại Quảng Ngãi. Đây là hướng đi mới mà tỉnh muốn thực hiện để phát triển nguồn nhân lực, tạo điều kiện phát triển kinh tế địa phương.

Ngoài ra, ông Hùng còn giới thiệu và mời lãnh đạo QTSC tham dự Hội thảo Hợp tác phát triển CNTT – TT Việt Nam lần thứ 20 sẽ được tổ chức tại đảo Lý Sơn, tỉnh Quảng Ngãi từ ngày 26 – 27/08/2016 với chủ đề “CNTT với biển – đảo Việt Nam”. Hội thảo này được tổ chức nhằm xây dựng mối liên kết và hợp tác giữa các tỉnh/thành trong việc thúc đẩy ứng dụng và phát triển CNTT-TT phục vụ phát triển kinh tế xã hội, góp phần đảm bảo quốc phòng, an ninh. Và tìm kiếm các giải pháp phục vụ cho nhiệm vụ bảo vệ chủ quyền và phát triển kinh tế biển - đảo.
