Joining
hands with companies to host an upcoming fair for students, Quang Trung
Software City (QTSC) is intensifying its effort to help students – the
potential human resource for the software industry – and introducing the
image, products and solutions of QTSC to Vietnamese firms.
As part of the endeavor to
respond to the “Buy Vietnamese” campaign designed to shore up the
slowing economy, QTSC in cooperation with its partners is hosting the
event “Sale Fair for Students – Quang Trung Software City 2013”.
Scheduled for June 13-16 at QTSC in District 12, HCMC, the fair will
attract not only software and information technology (IT) enterprises
but also those specializing in consumer goods, aiming to promote brands,
seek potential human resources from a large number of students and popularize the QTSC image in the community.
A fair for students
According to the organizing committee, the event is part of the “Big Sale Month 2013 Fair” chaired by the HCMC
Department of Industry and Trade. The fair is a chance for poor workers
and students to access quality products at reduced prices. “This is
also a playground and a shopping venue for city dwellers,” says Le Van
Khoa, deputy director of the HCMC Department of Industry and Trade.
At
the fair in QTSC, there is a wide range of community activities
designed for students, such as scholarships and music performances.
Morning
book café, dancing robot performance, break dance performance,
masquerade, handmade products display and secondhand and recycled
products exchange are some of the event’s highlights.
The organizers will also hand scholarships for robot projects developed by students from universities in a bid to honor creativeness and talent of young IT persons.
Meanwhile,
the break dance competition among many dance groups around the city and
in neighboring provinces, and the music performance at night will lend a
youthful atmosphere to the site.
