On
June 24, 2013, Mr. Somsavad Lengsavath, Deputy Prime Minister of Lao
People's Democratic Republic and leaders of Departments had a visit to
Quang Trung Software City (QTSC). Welcoming the delegation were Mr.
Nguyen Duc Hien, CEO of QTSC and departments’ leaders.
On this occasion, the delegation was introduced QTSC’s establishment and development process by Mr.
Lam Nguyen Hai Long, Deputy CEO of QTSC. Through the past 12 years, QTSC
has had the attraction of 106 IT enterprises, 36 investors and over
16,800 people those who have lived, studied and worked, Long said. QTSC
is the biggest software park in Vietnam which was cetified as the first
focus information technology zone in Vietnam by Ministry of Information
and Communication.
The
meeting was continued with the question answering about Government’s
special policies for QTSC, scope of business of enterprises operating in
QTSC as well as high quality human resources for enterprises,
especially e-Government project of Department of Information and
Communication of Ho Chi Minh City and Nam Dinh Province have been
implemented by QTSC.
Mr.
Somsavad Lengsavath was extremely impressive what QTSC achieved during
the past 12 years. “At the present, Laos has not had a focus IT zone
such QTSC yet. I have desire to propose our Government to establish one
in Laos after this visit and I really hope to receive consultancy and
support of QTSC,” he said.
At the end of the visit, the delegation visited TMA Solutions – one of leading IT companies in Vietnam.
Mr. Somsavad Lengsavath, Laos Deputy Prime Minister (L2) is introduced about QTSC model
in the future by Mr. Lam Nguyen Hai Long, Deputy CEO of QTSC (L1)
