Cultural exchange with Laotian students

On 23 April 2016, Saigon Institute of Technology (SaigonTech) coordinated with Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) to hold the “Cultural exchange with Laotian students”.

Leading the delegation was Mr. Phonsavan Vongsakhamphuy – Vice Consul Education and Culture; Mr. Vanxay Keovilay – Vice Consul and nearly 100 Laotian students.

Opening the meeting was the introduction about QTSC’s milestone. Mr. Tran Huu Dung – Deputy CEO of QTSC welcomed the delegation and wished them a great exchange. Dung hoped the meeting will be a bridge for relationship of the Lao Consulate General, SaigonTech and QTSC more tightened in order to promote cooperation activities on education, training, culture between Vietnam and Laos.

Then, the delegation visited SaigonTech and enjoyed special performances of own Laotian students studying in SaigonTech. Also, this was a good opportunity to know clearly the living and studying environment of Laotian students in Vietnam as well as their experiences, difficulties and succeed.

Enjoying the game together

In 2015, in collaboration with QTSC, SaigonTech awarded IT scholarships from Houston Community College for the Posts and Telecommunications Department of Vientiane Capital Laos with a total value of 1.155.000.000VND (equivalent to US$67,000). Currently, these students are still studying in SaigonTech and will attend in this event.
