On January 22nd, 2015, the delegation of World Bank visited Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) and enterprises operating in QTSC.
Mr. Lam Nguyen Hai Long –
Standing Deputy CEO of QTSC had the introduction about QTSC as well as
its advantages and disadvantages in the next years. According to Mr.
Long, Vietnam has had some advantages such as a young and dynamic
manpower, tax preferential
policies for IT industry, competitive office rental and so on. Regarding
difficulties, the businesses in QTSC mainly focus on software
development for international market than domestic market.
In the near future, QTSC will
have to change with the aim to attract more and more R&D companies
for developing Vietnam IT industry, especially small and medium
enterprises from USA, Asia, Europe, etc.
The delegation was deeply
impressed with QTSC projects on building QTSC chain in Ho Chi Minh City
and other locals, especially QTSC – Dalat project combining agriculture,
travel and IT.
On the afternoon, the
delegation visited LARION Company and SaigonTech in order to exchange
the activities and development orientation in 2015.
