On
the afternoon of February 11, 2014, Mr. Le Manh Ha, Vice chairman of
HCMC People’s Committee together with the representative of Department
of Information and Communications, Associations, HCMC Computer
Association (HCA) to pay a visit to Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) and
Luxoft Vietnam Company.
To
welcome the visit, on behalf of QTSC leaders, Mr. Lam Nguyen Hai Long,
Deputy CEO presented QTSC achievements in 2013 as well as the
commissions and goals in 2014. In detail, QTSC growth was nearly 20% in
2013, and in 2014 it has had more opportunities to develop such as the
government issued decree 154/2013/ND-CP
with many preferential policies for IT enterprises operating in the
concentrated information technology park. Through these policies, QTSC
has had more advantage conditions to attract new IT companies and get
ones related to high technology industries.
Following
that, there are 108 enterprises in QTSC at present. Among them, about
20% were small enterprises operating under 5 years had many difficulties
because of world economy crisis, and about 80% had the good growth from
20% to 40%, especially 60%-70% for some enterprises in 2013, according
to Mr. Chu Tien Dung, Chairman of QTSC.
After
QTSC presents, the attempt to complete the commission of QTSC staffs
was very welcome by Mr. Le Manh Ha. He said that the city will research
and apply IT in order to shorten administrative procedures. Besides,
the city will also co-ordinate with Ministry of Information and
Communications to give counselling and direction for approving the 2nd QTSC in Ho Chi Minh City as well as choose some areas to build QTSC chain, he said.
In
conclusion, he would like to wish QTSC more sustainable development,
more attraction of enterprises investing and using IT infrastructure,
software production companies, software service and consultantcy
companies with the aim to create a strong IT community.
At
the end of the visit, the delegation visited Luxoft Vietnam Company,
one of world’s leading IT companies of outsourcing in fields: finance,
telecommunication, automation of plane, car and energy.
